The Instructors at Dance Impressions by Ryan

"In a world where children are taught to fit in...we teach them to stand out."

'Miss Ryan' Wilson

  Miss Ryan

 Mrs. Ryan Wilson

Bus. Admin. Diploma – Distinction,

ADAPT, ESB TTP & JR. GRAD.

I have had over 26 years dancing and over 12 years teaching experience in the Vermilion area and am committed to enhancing the lives of youth through creativity, musicality, coordination, determination, self-discipline, team effort and positive attitude.  By teaching internationally recognized dancing techniques in an encouraging and motivating environment, my dancers are able to achieve their personal bests and excel both in and out of dance.

For two years, while continuing to teach and pursue a career in dance, I also studied Business Administration with a Professional Accounting Major at Lakeland College.  In the spring of 2000 I graduated at the top of my class with a GPA of 3.93 out of 4.0 and along with many scholarships and awards, earned a Diploma with Distinction.  The next summer, I decided to combine all my areas of interest, experience, and professional education and invest it into one entity - Dance Impressions by Ryan.

As an innovative, progressive, local instructor, I am dedicated to life-long learning.  I continually strive to improve my knowledge, my skills, and myself as an instructor by attending esteemed Workshops and Teacher’s Training Courses across the country.  I am a Certified Instructor of both the ESB Junior Grades (Ballet) and the ADAPT  (Jazz & Tap) Syllabi.  I also graduated with Distinction from the Junior Teacher’s Training Course at the Edmonton School of Ballet  .  Currently, I am enrolled in the exclusive Professional Teacher’s Training Program at the Edmonton School of Ballet and am working towards my I.S.T.D. Associate (Cecchetti Branch).

As a teacher, I have received numerous awards for “Outstanding Choreography” and my students have received many distinguished “Outstanding” and “First Place” awards.  My dancers are renowned for not only their amazing performances and technical abilities, but also for their friendliness and sportsmanship attitudes as well as polite and professional demeanors.

I am very optimistic about the 10th season of Dance Impressions, and look forward to my 13th year as an instructor in Vermilion and all the challenges, opportunities, and rewards it will bring.
